Disseminate and communicate results
This step involves making the ecosystem assessment results (incl. uncertainties and limitations) (cf. "Assess, "Interpret results and develop solutions" and "Elaborate results stakeholder-specifically") transparently available and visible to diverse audiences, such as the scientific community, policy makers, industry and the general public. This involves selecting appropriate communication formats (e.g., policy briefs, maps, visualisations, infographics), channels (e.g., websites, presentations, workshops, media), and messaging strategies adapted to different user needs. Dissemination may also include broader outreach activities and dialogue to raise awareness.

Justice
Link to Justice
Justice here is about transparency and equal access to information. If only some groups receive or can understand results, inequities are deepened.
Dimensions addressed
Recognitional: acknowledge and communicate uncertainties, limitations, and diverse value systems.
Participatory: use inclusive formats (visuals, local languages, oral traditions) and venues (community meetings, radio, policy briefs).
Distributive: ensure communication clarifies who gains/losses under different outcomes, not just aggregate findings.
Contextual: select communication strategies sensitive to local political climates and trust levels.
Why this matters
Ensures equitable access to knowledge, a precondition for equitable decision-making.
Reduces risks of misinformation or elite capture of technical outputs.
Supports informed participation by all groups.

The decision on disclosure aims to facilitate better risk and allocation of resources through transparency. 4 types of disclosure: governance, strategy, impacts, risks, targets, and metrics. It also mentions in governance to acknowledge and describe policies and engagement activities for affected (and other) stakeholders, such as indigenous and local people.
